| Directly and through subordinates, oversees the accounting for the Company. The Assistant Controller has complete managerial authority for all accounting department staff and operations. This position will work closely with the Principal Accounting and Reporting Manager (PARM) and the Financial Reporting Department to complete projects and coordinate implementation of accounting standards and work through complex accounting issues. Assists new and changing accounting pronouncements; works closely with business units to apply new accounting pronouncements and existing accounting pronouncements for new business lines and products, work with business units to ensure proper accounting is being utilized in day to day operations, update accounting policies and procedures as required and, identifying future and potential impacts for the organization. This position works closely with external auditors, internal auditors, and examiners to assist the Controller in fielding questions and providing supporting documentation in a professional and timely manner.

| Quality Requirements: |
| • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or any combination of education, experience, or training.
• Two years public accounting experience in audit and/or 7 + years with progressively increased responsibility and supervisory experience, preferably in SEC and the financial services industry. Knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• CPA, a plus.
• Banking experience and knowledge of Bank regulatory financial reporting requirements, a plus. Experience in regulatory financial reporting, banking and working with GAAP may be substituted for public accounting experience.
• Experience with preparation of audited financial statements.
• Experience in preparation of SEC Form 10-Q and 10-K filings.
