Department Overview
The Online Channel is one of TD Bank’s key distribution channels. The Online Channel has a global mandate and an enterprise-wide strategy for the online channels across TDBFG. The aim of the channel is to deliver an exceptional, seamless and effortless experience for customers and customers who manage their finances online. The Online Channel is accountable for the online strategy, customer experience and distribution of products and services across businesses.
The Position
The Manager, Online Strategy and Business will be accountable for supporting the work of the Online Channel Strategy and Planning team for TD Bank. The successful incumbent is responsible for assisting with the following: competitive and industry analysis, analyzing the needs of TD Bank businesses and customers, contributing to the management of the financial aspects of the online business, and partnering with TD Bank businesses and other Online Channel teams on projects and initiatives. The successful incumbent has a passion for the customer experience and the online environment combined with contributing to initiatives in alignment with business strategies for an integrated customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager, TD Bank Online Business, the incumbent is responsible for:
Partnering with business and online channel partners to assist in the creation of the online strategy and to translate business strategies that drive TD Bank business results and deliver on channel Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
In conjunction with business and internal partners, assist in the development and championing of the Online Channel business plan
Completing business cases and/or benefits, in partnership with internal partners and the business
Contributing to the prioritization of enterprise initiatives ensuring value to TD Bank Leadership team is clearly articulated
Collaborating with senior leaders in the channel and elsewhere to provide management information measuring progress against strategic objectives for the business
Provides analysis and reporting on industry and competitive trends as well as customer feedback (CEI/VOC etc) to help fuel channel strategy and to help prioritize tactical initiatives for TD Bank
Completing competitive analysis and acting as a subject matter expert by sharing knowledge and educating internal partners and the business
Ensuring risk and compliance issues are identified, mitigated and reported per policy / guidelines and ensure appropriate escalation processes are followed
Supporting strategic and tactical recommendations as to how the Online Channel can enhance business results and help drive effectiveness, efficiency and profitability
Analyzing channel metrics to identify opportunities and areas of inefficiency in order to maximize the effectiveness and use of online products and enhance/maximize the bottom line for TD Bank
Participating in various projects, ensuring appropriate business and customer experience oversight
Forging a close partnership with a number of internal and external partners, including all TD Bank Businesses, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Risk Management, Compliance and external vendors and suppliers

The candidate will have the ability to effectively liaise with individuals at various levels of the organization as well as vendors and consultants.
The candidate is required to have excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving and communication skills (verbal and written) and is able to work independently in a change driven environment.
The successful candidate will have customer service and project related experience, in addition to having online industry experience and financial acumen.
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint for the creations of management reports, presentations and analysis is required.
University or postgraduate degree
Compensation
Contract rate depends upon the level of experience and will be competitive
